+Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to instill Christ into all things we are involved in. God calls us to plant the seed of Christ in the places around us near and far. He takes care of the rest. Come join us to see how you can be a sower of seeds.
If God leads you to join our church, ask out new member orientation. You may speak to our Pastor following worship on Sunday, or you may set up an appointment by calling the church office at 706-738-2546.
If you are interested in Baptism please contact the Church to speak to our Pastor.
+Sunday School
We don’t mean to brag, but Woodlawn has a wonderful music! We are blessed to have Mr. Phillip Streetman as the Director of Worship Arts here at Woodlawn. We also have a praise band which plays during our Traditional service with blended music. Sing along to praise songs on our screen.
What we are about

igniting a passion to follow jesus

We believe the church belongs to God and that the church is, in the words of the Apostle Paul, the body of Christ. The church is to be the physical presence of Christ in the world. As such, our primary aim is to do God’s will. We invite you to contact us.

At Woodlawn, we are Christians who are excited to be part of United Methodist Church .

What is a United Methodist?

United Methodists are the second largest Protestant denomination in America. We are the home to both President Bush, and President Clinton’s family while they were in the White House. Methodists have played a significant role in shaping our nation and especially the Augusta area. The formation of Augusta Urban Ministries, the presence United Methodist Children’s Home services in downtown Augusta and many colleges and universities including Paine College, founded in 1882.

what we believe

Historic Doctrines of the Christian Faith.
United Methodists hold to the historic doctrines of the Christian faith. We are evangelical, but moderates rather than fundamentalists. We value the intellect and modern science, while at the same time looking to the Bible as the authoritative guide for faith and practice. Methodists have a passionate faith with strong convictions, but we also recognize that the world is not always black and white. We are willing to ask questions, to wrestle with difficult issues, and to do so with grace and compassion.

The Trinity.
“Trinity” comes from the Latin noun “trinitas” meaning “three are one.” The Trinity expresses the belief that God is one Being made up of three distinct Persons who exist in co-equal essence and co-eternal communion as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Universal Church.
Christians are part of a universal church and must work with all Christians to spread the love of God. If you are interested in learning about God’s love for you please consider contacting our pastor here and coming to a service.
